Melissa Auf Der Maur is one of a kind. The once-bassist for Hole and later brief member of the Smashing Pumpkins, is a creative force within herself.As a Montrealer, Melissa and I first met years ago on the streets of Toronto. I stayed up all night with friends on Yonge Street in order to shake her hand. Since then our paths have crossed via journalism and photography. Last night's showcase at NXNE rekindled the flame.
