Hey Aretha, sing one for me
Aaron McKenzie Fraser is one of my favourite people in this little town. He was kind enough to share coffee and some jukebox hits with me this afternoon. There was a little of the Knack's "My Sharona" and New Kids on the Block's "Please Don't Go Girl" for good measure.

You can be shameless
One of my favourite bookshops in the country is Pages, on Queen Street in Toronto. After a belletristic evening with an old friend we stumbled upon this window display. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed with joy, pride and a sense of being shameless. Pick up She's Shameless: women write about growing up, rocking out and fighting back at a independent bookstore near you.
