The looking glass, so shiny and new. How quickly the glamour fades

With every bubble she sank with her drink and washed it away down the kitchen sink

Halifax's Pink Velvet Burlesque troupe combines the valor aesthetic of vaudeville, with satiric comedy and the ebullient flare of traditional cabaret. This past weekend was their spectacular fourth anniversary show.

Your the kind of maker that makes the whole world come true

Last night he was the delicious wolf - Hawksley Workman performed for three hours (not to mention two encores ) at the Rebecca Cohn in Halifax, NS.

Can't you hear the horses coming? You'd better run

Only fools rush in

Halifax's Coastal restaurant has an extensive and rather delicious breakfast menu. The Elvis is definitely a hit - a waffle with bacon, banana, peanut butter and maple syrup. Seriously.

There's a ghost in my mouth

I'm not calling you a thief

If this is a gift

I love you so much I'm gonna let you heal me

Turns me to gold in the sunlight

In the spring I shed my skin

There's no place like home

I can take your breath away and show you a brand new day

What's it like when your memories start to freeze?

If I wanted to say to you that I want to see your face again

Your the one with the freedom of a blank stare

I feel like celebrating 'cause this time I'm running to your door

Never true were my wishes until one day my fortune changed

There is nothing more to say, I'm so glad I met you

Invade the portions of me that dark, warm and deep

Would you let yourself fall in love, if only for one day?

I want to pull back the veils and found out what I've done wrong

It is work to be dancing out here

Maybe it's not enough

Me, I'm a thief, I'm a falling star, I'm a photograph taken from where you are

Easter rekindled my heart this year, as I spent a magical Sunday sharing delicious foods with friends, both new and old. No Easter celebration is complete without an egg hunt. The super lovely Heather Jessup created handmade fortunes and hid them all around the backyard.

Mine read: "The person who you thought stole your heart did not. He or she merely borrowed it for a while. The real heart thief will steal it back for you."

Let's not try to figure out everything at once
